You've come to the right place! Here at Squareriggers, we produce plans for only the rarest & most historically important ships, i.e. ships which have taken part in some of the great hydrographic surveys or voyages of discovery, or which are of great cultural significance.
Our drawings are based on the original draughts, further enhanced by visual information gleaned from paintings and/or drawings executed during the various voyages by the people who were actually there; as well as written information contained in the journals of the various captains and crew members.
We go out of our way to ensure that they are as historically accurate as is humanly possible, and pride ourselves in the authenticity of our drawings. Experienced modellers:
Our line drawings are aimed at more experienced builders, who want to experience the great sense of satisfaction derived from producing a ship from scratch - from drawing frames to carving decorations. We will also supply with these plans, drawings for the masts & spars.
Scale:
Our line drawings are produced in a number of different scales, e.g. 1:48; 1:72; 1:96. However, should you require drawings in a different scale, we will do our best (for a small, additional charge) to produce a set of plans to suit your individual needs.
